Today I recorded the voiceover section for my video. I did initially record it on Camtasia and a voice recorder on my camera but they were not very clear. In the end I decided to use the voice recorder on my brothers HTC One X. I really liked the recording because it was very clear. The recording is below:

Creating the Music...
Yesterday evening I created the sound for the "theme tune" of my news report. I never had plans to use sounds or music from other websites because I already knew what type of music I wanted. I create two music sounds which I wanted both to play simultaneously in the video. The two sound clips are below:
However, when I uploaded them onto Premiere Pro and played them simultaneously, it did not sound right. The timing of the two did not match, it was as if one sound was faster than the other. So I decided to only use the last sound clip and I think it was more effective than using both of them.

Editing...
I am still editing my project, overall I believe that it is going well. I think that I am finally grasping the application, which I am happy about because at the beginning I thought that I would really struggle using this software. Below are some screen shots of the editing process.

Filming (Part 2)
Since the filming of the last section of the news story did not go well yesterday, today we filmed it again. We did have some issues whilst filming like cars and wind noise but overall it was more successful than the filming of yesterday. Here is the clip that I intend to use for my video. Though the recording was not exactly great, as she did pause a couple of times but I think that she put her energy into it and gave it a bit of life.

Filming
Today I filmed the last part of my video, whereby the reporter concludes the story. Initially I wanted to film it at the field near my house, as the reporter walks through the path summarising the story. However that did not work out well because there is a road right next to the field. Therefore, noise was a key issue here as car kept driving past. We ended recording at the end of my road, then we had more issues as the sun was shinning. So it was quite difficult to find an appropriate place that my friend could stand and talk or that I could stand and record. After some takes we were able to get the recording done well. However, when I got home I viewed the recording and realised it was not very clear. Therefore, I called my friend and we decided that we will re-film this section tomorrow afternoon. Below is a clip of what the quality of the video was like.

Camtasia Footage!
Today I tried to upload the Camtasia footage (that I talked about in the last post), onto Adobe Premiere Pro. However, the unfortunate thing was that the footage was very jumpy. The recording showed the Facebook home page, a screen recording showing someone scrolling through their news feed on Facebook and showing how ones privacy settings can be altered. The recording was fine on Camtasia when I edited it before, but when I transferred it onto Adobe Premiere Pro it was not clear at all! So I will just have to think of another plan that will be as effective!

Using Camtasia (Part 2)
I decided to record the section on camtasia again, whereby, the screen records someone surfing on Facebook I recorded it again because I had a different idea regarding how I wanted this scene to look. I wanted the recording, on Camtasia to match the voice over by the Correspondent team panel, which says:
“Facebook, founded in February 2004 has a staggering 1.1 billion active
users. According to a recent survey 94% of teenagers have a Facebook profile. With
the recent policy changes allowing adolescents as young 13 to make their
profiles public, it is feared that they will be more at risk."
I wanted to use a screen shot of the Facebook home page for the line: “Facebook, founded in February 2004 has a staggering 1.1 billion active users."

After I was able to record all this footage I then edited it with the Camtasia. I will hopefully upload the footage onto Adobe Premiere Pro soon!
